While innovation drives advances in renewable energy, right now natural gas is the most an environmentally-sensible way to create hydrogen.

Natural gas is the cleanest fossil fuel. But because of that, demand for natural gas is increasing fast. Global production is expected to peak about 2020. We have a short window during which natural gas can bridge the gap between fossil fuels and renewables, as a source of clean hydrogen.
