The Climate Initiative - A powerful, affordable way to link with more than 25 important climate alliances
As early as this year (2009) - to prepare for the COP15 global climate treaty negotiations - Congress may establish as much as $1 trillion in tradable carbon offsets, a potential tax shift to drive down fossil fuel dependence, and technology incentives to advance clean economic development.
More than 25 major climate alliances have emerged to shape these policies, each with its own agendas and approaches.
NOTE: The organizations and individuals shown are among the key stakeholders we have identified in this issue area. These stakeholders, many of whom we have engaged, are highly diverse, and often take very different positions from one another. We include them here as a guide to some of the most influential stakeholders on these issues. Their presence in this list does NOT imply any formal association with one another or with Future 500.
