Unofficial title: The Artful Ally Words to live by: “Our work is intersectional and multifaceted. Nature teaches us that our work has to be nuanced and steadfast. And more than anything, that we need each other—at our highest natural glory—in order to get free...I believe that all organizing is science fiction—that we are shaping the future we long for and have not yet experienced” ― adrienne maree brown In a prior life: Competitive hip-hop dancer Oddly fond of: Hot water—drinking it, soaking in it, and finding peace in its simplicity
Wynn has always been captivated by nature, whether it’s the thrill of discovering a hidden plant or the frustration of encountering litter on a trail. Her commitment to environmental justice runs deep, focusing on amplifying marginalized voices and creating equitable solutions. Before joining Future 500, Wynn worked at the intersection of stakeholder engagement, human rights, Indigenous rights, diversity and inclusion, talent retention, and environmental impact for Fortune 500 companies. Prior to that, she launched the Impact Department at a global artisan company, aimed to foster more equitable relationships with artisans worldwide. Her approach to stakeholder engagement focuses on creating space for those often left out of the conversation, while fostering connections, challenging power dynamics, and inspiring others to envision a more just and inclusive world.
Outside of work, you’ll find Wynn exploring the Bay Area’s quirky art scene, immersing herself in local stories, basking in the forest, or lost in a deep conversation. (She might even join you for an impromptu dance party to remind us all to embrace the joy in life!). She is also engaged with initiatives aimed at making the outdoors more accessible and inclusive, believing that true outdoor equity means addressing the unequal distribution of nature’s benefits—especially for people of color—honoring historical ties to the land, and ensuring everyone has the chance to experience nature’s restorative power.
Wynn holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Policy Planning and Analysis from the University of California, Davis. She believes the best ideas emerge from curiosity, laughter, and detours off the beaten path.
