Virtual Corporate Working Group: Unlocking the Business Value of the Energy Transition with Rich Powell
For over a decade, Future 500 has convened intimate, confidential working groups designed to foster constructive engagement between companies and advocates. Facilitated under the Chatham House Rule, these sessions empower delegates to move beyond surface-level dialogue—encouraging participants to speak up, respectfully disagree, and tackle the complexity of real-world challenges together.
We are pleased to welcome Rich Powell, CEO of the Clean Energy Buyers Association (CEBA), to our next virtual Corporate Action Network (CAN) meeting.
Despite shifting regulatory and political landscapes, corporate energy buyers are purchasing carbon emissions-free energy at record rates, driven by compelling economics for companies and their value chain partners. Rich will share insights from his leadership at CEBA—a business association of nearly 400 members representing more than $38 trillion in market capitalization—on advancing low-cost, reliable, and carbon-free global electricity systems.
Rich will also discuss his work with the Clean Economy Project, a policy platform designed to unleash smart energy solutions that drive industrial strength and economic growth. Drawing on his previous experience as CEO of ClearPath, he will offer a unique perspective on empowering the private sector to drive clean energy innovation while strengthening U.S. energy security and global leadership.
Join the Conversation: Our Working Groups are designed for active participation. We invite you to bring your ideas and challenges to this session as we illuminate important trends and reduce barriers to cross-sector collaboration.
