When it comes to ESG reporting and strategy, conducting a robust materiality assessment is increasingly...material. Major investors, reporting frameworks, raters and rankers, and NGOs all now expect leading companies to use the materiality process as a gateway to creating a more transparent and impactful sustainability program. And when done right, they also help business leaders spot emerging trends and vest internal and external stakeholders in the company’s sustainability journey.

But what exactly is a materiality assessment? What does the process look like? And what can your company and stakeholders glean from the results? Future 500’s Corporate Affinity Network is invited to join the Future 500 team for a “Materiality 101 and Beyond” workshop on May 11th at 11:00 PT / 2:00 ET. Leaning on our years of experience conducting materiality assessments and deep understanding of the ESG stakeholder landscape, we’ll discuss:

  • Varying definitions of materiality, and how they influence the assessment process

  • Emerging trends in materiality within the corporate, reporting, and advocacy landscapes

  • The nuts and bolts of materiality assessments – key steps, considerations, and outputs

  • How to make the most of your assessment in ESG communications, engagement, and strategic planning

Come ready with your questions – this is an interactive session, and we’d love to hear from your experience, too.

Only CAN partners will be admitted to the meeting. To learn more about membership visit future500.org/can. Senior corporate leaders can email Erik Wohlgemuth, COO with an expression of interest and request a courtesy invitation to audit one of our virtual meetings.
